The Blog Formerly Known As Practical Paralegalism
Florida paralegal Linda Whipple is the American Association for Justice’s “Paralegal of the Year”. Nominated by her supervising attorney, Bob Spohrer, in July she attended the annual convention in San Francisco to receive the award.
“She is a dedicated professional whose commitment to her work is very commendable,” said Spohrer. “She takes ownership of cases in that she gets very involved in learning the subject matter, whether it’s medicine, aviation or engineering. Linda exemplifies excellence in that profession.”
In addition to being active with the North Florida Paralegal Association, she became a Florida Registered Paralegal in March 2008. She has taught courses at the University of North Florida Legal Studies Institute, as well as served on its Paralegal Advisory Board.
Spohrer describes the qualities that make Whipple an outstanding paralegal:
“Most good paralegals will do what you ask of them in a timely and efficient matter. Linda will aggressively work a case with me and she will come up with ideas, strategies for the case without me suggesting them. That allows us to be more effective and efficient and to help our clients better.”
Congratulations to Linda Whipple for receiving this prestigious national recognition by the American Association for Justice. She deserves it for representing and serving the paralegal profession well over a long, successful career.
