Paralegal Career Dressing: A Time to Kill

Paralegal Career Dressing: A Time to Kill

Don’t get yer panties in a wad, it’s just me messin’ with the search engine results again 🙂 Although there is some relevance to this post.

My dreamboat high-functioning sociopath. I’ll be his blogger any day.

I am going to be a budget career style blogger of a few words until my awful ear infection and vertigo resolves. Let’s just leave it at I had a really dizzy day yesterday, and only felt good enough last night to lie in bed to keep the world from spinning, and watch the entire first season of Sherlock. Again. What are ya gonna do with only three episodes a season.

Benedict Cumberbatch doesn’t know this, but he’s my fave TV boyfriend ever.

Finally, the nerdy glasses trend caught on in reading glasses. Ah, the fun you have to look forward to when you hit 40.  Talbots faux suede blazer (thrifted); Loft trouser jeans (thrifted); Faux leopard hide pumps (thrifted); Draped blouse (Ross about $9 last year); Skinny belt (Target); Wrap watch (gift); Earrings (thrift store)

No stylist or PhotoShop here :p
A new office plant to kill name!

So have you bought anything orange this season for the office? I was so surprised to discover it didn’t look terrible next to my face!

  1. Lawd almighty~ That was a bit of a surprise. Benny is my tv boyfriend, too. What do we do with only three episodes a season? Rewatch them a million times. And then stalk the actors in everything else they act in. I mean Star trek and the hobbit are coming out soon (not soon enough), but you should totally go see Frankenstein! It's showing close to you.

You look fabulous in orange! I think the myth that it is an unflattering color is ridiculous. I've been wearing orange forever, but have definitely taken advantage of the 'trend' to add more into my closet. I also love your taupe drapy top! Very cute.

Also your hair color looks like it's toned back down into auburn.

  2. (Oh! I should also mention, I feel terrible for all the people who stumbled across my blog by googling "John Watson sweater" – I'm sure they're terribly disappointed)

  3. Love, love, love your color combo! I hope you feel better soon – crummy time to be sick when Mother's Day is this weekend! (Also I do not know who Benedict Cumberbatch is but his name is really fun to say!)

  4. That shade of orange looks GREAT on you! I'm so jealous. And your hair is looking especially nice in these photos.

Sorry to hear about the vertigo, hope it clears up soon.

  5. I don't have to buy orange — I have an old orange Sprouse jacket that I think fills that quota. I had to get reading glasses recently…but I refuse to wear them. I know, crazy!

  6. A pretty blazer–I do have a few orange pieces. And this ear infection explains what I was reading two posts later. That's what I get for being behind on my blog reading. Have a happy mother's day!
