Paralegal Quits Job to Buy Massage Clinic
Those all too rare occasions to splurge on a massage are my favorite way to relieve stress and forget about all things law-related for an hour.
South Carolina resident Crystal Hodge
, a veteran paralegal, enjoyed the massage experience she had last year at a Massage Envy
clinic so much that she quit her job and bought her own franchise.
At 45, Crystal Hodge realized she had accomplished about all she could in her 20-year career as a paralegal.
That was about a year ago while she was living in Charlotte. She figured out what she would do next after she had booked three appointments at a Massage Envy clinic in Greenville during a day of shopping with her mother and a friend.
Hodge enjoyed her first experience at the national chain of massage clinics so much she soon decided to become a franchisee herself.
“When I walked out, I just said, ‘This is what I want to do.’ “
I confess I’ve got a little case of massage envy myself, not helped by the fact that her new business is located close to a Five Guys Burgers and Fries
Ah, this paralegal’s idea of paradise is definitely a deep tissue massage followed by a Five Guys cheeseburger.
Congratulations to Hodge and her business partner on the launch of their new business. Cheeseburgers and massages sound like a recipe for success to me.
