Paralegal Student Uses LinkedIn to Seek Internship

Heather Fox, an enterprising paralegal student at the University of San Diego and a member of the free professional networking site, LinkedIn, recently posted an internship query on the LinkedIn Paralegal Network Group discussion board.

Several members of the LinkedIn Paralegal Network Group offered her good advice to locate an internship, including contacting her local paralegal association and her local Legal Aid office. Best of all, she received an invitation from Mary McCutcheon, owner of McCutcheon Paralegal Services and National Director of New Vision Organization, Inc. to contact her directly about an internship with the non-profit organization.

  1. I’m curious about whether having just a free profile is sufficient, or if a paid LinkedIn subscription is better when it comes to using LI for job hunting?
