Lorie will travel to Phoenix this week to receive the scholarship from the American Association of Community College convention in Phoenix, Arizona. Local Star-News reporter Chelsea Kellner has done two terrific feature articles about Lorie, which are well worth reading. Lorie is an inspiration for all of us to reach out for help when our obstacles seem insurmountable and to turn adversity into incentive to move forward and follow our dreams. (Star-News Online)
