The Blog Formerly Known As Practical Paralegalism
Employer: Rhodes, Hieronymus, Jones, Tucker & Gable, PLLC, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Years of Paralegal Experience: 18+
Specialty Areas: Insurance defense including medical products liability and medical malpractice, vaccine litigation, nursing home litigation, asbestos litigation, toxic torts, and dram shop liability.
Career Highlight: A partner I closely work with represents individuals, especially children, who have suffered adverse reactions to vaccines, progress through the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program through the Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C. I find great satisfaction knowing that I am helping these children that have suffered life changing adverse events obtain compensation. As a result of my specialized experience working on vaccine cases, I wrote an article for @Law magazine concerning the paralegal’s guide to vaccine litigation and what the paralegal’s role is.
Paralegal Practice Tip: When you’re reviewing medical records, always be sure and review every page of the records you receive, analyzing everything you read like a detective. You never know what “golden nugget” or “smoking gun” you may find hidden on what you may think is an obscure document like a laboratory report or treatment flowsheet.

Do you use social media resources, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter or blogs, for career and/or case development?
Yes, I have a Facebook page as well as I “tweet” on Twitter. My Twitter handle is @cmorri3371. I have kept my participation through these social media at a professional level and see them as great networking tools. I try to keep my “social media” personal life separate from my work life.
Fun Fact: I am a huge B movie fan of the 50’s and 60’s including films like “Plan 9 From Outer Space”, “The Creature from the Black Lagoon”, and any western starring Gene Autry or Roy Rogers. Over the past few years, I have created quite a collection of DVD’s containing these B movies – so many I could open my own video rental store!
Favorite Quote: “Whatever you are, be a good one.” ~ Abraham Lincoln. But I have added my personal touch and slightly altered the quote to read, “Whatever you are, be the BEST one.”
