Still Time to Register for NC Paralegal Association Seminar
There is still time to register for the North Carolina Paralegal Association’s 30th Annual Meeting & Seminar, to be held March 18 – 20, 2010 at the beautiful Holiday Inn Resort in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.
NCPA is offering a terrific line-up of presentations, including Erik Mazzone
(N.C. State Bar) and Lee Rosen’s
fantastic “60 Technology Tips in 60 Minutes”; Debbie Lawrence
) and Camille Stell’s
) “Trends Affecting the Paralegal Profession: A Discussion of Challenges and Solutions”; Giovanni Mascucci’s
(National Digital Forensics) “Digital Evidence Is Involved in Your Case: So What’s the Next Step?” – and of course, Vicki Voisin’s
(The Paralegal Mentor
) keynote address.
And I’ll be telling attendees who attend my concurrent session how to prepare for mediations and hearings in workers’ compensation claims – including how to value the cases. Every time I give this presentation, a number of paralegals tell me that they did not know they could do this much in a workers’ compensation claim. You can – and knowing how to prepare preliminary valuations for your supervising attorney’s review is a fantastic way to make yourself indispensable in any kind of injury practice.
There are going to be so many great legal professionals and paralegals at this terrific seminar; I hope you can work it into your schedule if you haven’t already. What’s not to love? The beach, great CLE offerings, and a chance to meet some of your favorite paralegals, including Vicki Voisin
, Patricia Clapper
(Patti’s Paralegal Page
), Stephanie Elliott-Park
(whose funny photo with her boss has been a popular Practical Paralegalism post
) and well, yeah, me
! (I hope you guys like me as much as I like you 🙂
