Today’s Quote: Why Paralegals Drink Hot Coffee on Hot Days

“Why am I drinking hot coffee this morning? Because I’m crazy. I should have stayed at the shore. That’s the place to be when it’s this hot.” ~ Philadelphia paralegal Sharon Loven tells the Associated Press she’s not giving up the piping hot bean, despite temperatures approaching 90 degrees this morning.

Loven sounds completely sane to me. The smell of the ocean and the smell of fresh coffee are life-affirming.
And hot coffee eventually becomes refreshing cold coffee, which still keeps this paralegal awake when she’s summarizing data that otherwise might result in a snoozefest, which is a word, albeit one found in the Urban Dictionary.
I think UD got the definition of snoozefest just right: “An event, discussion, or meeting so boring it causes one to extemporaneously nap.” I’d like to add, “It’s also a paralegal occupational hazard.”
