One of my terrific readers, who knows I’d like to take NALA’s CLA exam, told me a couple of months ago that the Certified Paralegal Review Manual: A Practical Guide to CP Exam Preparation (3rd Edition) is now available by the eChapter, a very economical alternative for the cash-strapped exam hopeful who doesn’t have $160.99 to buy the paperbook version outright – but I’m behind on almost everything in my professional life right now, so am just getting around to sharing this.
I haven’t given up on preparing for the exam, but an extended medical leave at work by a key administrative staff member on my team, learning a new specialty area at work (Social Security disability), and an upcoming deadline for the ethics CLE manuscript I’m working on, “Old-Fashioned Ethics in a Newfangled World,” have sidelined my CLA study plans for the immediate future.
But when I resume my exam preparation, purchasing the Certified Paralegal Review Manual: A Practical Guide to CP Exam Preparation by eChapter at $8.99 each definitely suits my wallet, as well as my plan to tackle one area of the exam at a time.
Another helpful resource for CLA exam prep is the NALA Manual for Paralegals and Legal Assistants (5th Edition), also available by e-Chapter, $16.99 each.
Also, if you’re looking for a vendor, don’t forget to check out NALA’s Vendor Directory, which includes document, corporation and deposition services, as well as investigators, process servers, litigation support and other vendors.
